Gwyn Chwith ap Llyr (Glenn Gorsuch) had a 16th century Hungarian cookbook translated and has allowed me to host a copy. Enjoy.

This reminds me of the "Anglo-Saxon double diamond" (which Penelope Walton Rogers disputed the dating saying it's more likely 13th/14th c rather than "Anglo-saxon").research.fibergeek.com/.../anglo-saxon-threaded.../Except, I think I see a reversal in there which would mean this is done with a threaded in pattern rather than using pack idling.Very interesting!I have just permission to share this incredible textile find, discovered last Sunday in England. It is a belt fragment preserved in a buckle plate or strap end. I shared it with Maria from Historical textiles who gave this information: it is silk, tablet woven with at least 3 colours, which the finder was very excited to hear. Isn't it amazing! New tunic for my love for Atlantian Coronation.I rarely add trim to garments. This time he asked for a red tunic in the style of the Varangian guard. My eye was particularly caught by her parlet.
